Candidate Journey

The candidate journey is all the experiences that an applicant has with a potential new employer during the application process. It begins with the first contact with a company or position (awareness phase) and leads to a more in-depth examination of the position (consideration phase) through to the application and hiring (conversion phase). A crucial point is that the entire process - from job advertisement to communication with applicants - should be transparent, efficient and positive. If the digital recruiting process, which can be seen as a first date with an applicant, does not feel timely and smooth, top candidates in particular will drop out and not come back. Coveted candidates, who often belong to Gen Z, live with digital media, shopping and service experiences as a matter of course. This is exactly what they expect in their professional environment.
