Impressions are a metric in online marketing that indicates how often an ad or advertising material has been displayed on a website or in an app. This value shows the reach of a campaign and serves as an indicator of the visibility of the advertisement. However, impressions alone do not provide any information about whether the ad was actually seen or noticed. They are often used together with other metrics such as clicks, conversion rates and cost per impression to evaluate the effectiveness of an advertising campaign.
