For 20 years, SuD has been advising brands and organizations on brand positioning, innovation, and corporate evolution. Our work is grounded in cultural-strategic research on consumer behavior, lifestyles, and trends. Our clients include Blume 2000, Villeroy & Boch, Google, and Audi. We are overseeing the digital refresh of the Hamburg-based agency.
Herausforderung
“Culture” is the central focus of SuD's research and consulting work. The new website is designed to bring “Culture” to life while remaining highly functional.

Website
A user experience that feels “culturally enriched”: tech-savvy, playful, and human all at once. Translating SuD’s services into a clearly structured portfolio of offerings, combined with a straightforward lead journey – that was our focus during the website redesign.
SuD views culture as a dynamic interplay. With this in mind, we have designed the new SuD website as a fluid, interactive experience. Visitors can playfully “unfreeze” video clips with a simple mouse movement. In this way, the site becomes a metaphor for culture – as a malleable, surprising, and sensitive system.
CMS
SuD manages its own content, structure, and topics. Right in the browser, with no technical expertise required. This is made possible by the Kirby CMS: a flexible, file-based system that adapts precisely to the website’s needs. No overhead, no unnecessary complexity. This allows SuD to remain independent in its day-to-day operations – and focus on what it does best.

Creative Coding
How do cultural trends evolve? Where does the future take shape? In response to the fundamental questions posed by SuD, we have developed a custom-programmed generative design tool that allows users to shape their own experience of the website. Users can visually distort the videos on display with a simple click of the mouse. The design is generated algorithmically – that is, through code, rules, or data. This transforms the site into a playground.
TECHY Deep Dive
The video is distorted in real time using WebGL: A fragment shader uses Simplex Noise and FBM (Fractional Brownian Motion) to introduce organic movement into the video, which can also be influenced by mouse movements. A gradient map is used to color the video in the corporate design’s colors. Load time and performance are ensured through separate video assets for mobile and desktop, as well as optimized render resolution.
