Photography as a form of message
"Photography as a form of message" – a conversation in image and text between Frank Wache and Gunnar Schmidt.
A conversation in image and text between Frank Wache and Gunnar Schmidt. Together they playfully explore how our approach to, and perception of photography is changing in the age of the smartphone and sharing culture. They do this by sending digital snapshots back and forth, receiving them in an intimate setting, and by curating them anew in the analogue medium of a book, talking about their thoughts in the process. They understand photography as a form of message and by their own definition they see it as this big creative bowl into which they throw today's digital images in order to see what becomes of them.
