It’s the pre-Corona era. More than four billion people fly every year – and with them more and more luggage. The queues are getting longer. The stress is growing. Space is getting scarcer. And the costs of handling and transport are rising. At the same time, travel and mobility providers are promising their customers greater and greater comfort and travel enjoyment.
New gold standard for easy travel
The innovative luggage brand RIMOWA wants to make travelling with luggage an enjoyable end-to-end experience again. Together with experts in aviation, telecommunications and travel, in particular Lufthansa, RIMOWA is developing the first fully integrated digital luggage mobility solution – RIMOWA Electronic Tag. As lead agency, we are responsible for the entire brand building and communication up to the go-to-market.
Via app, travellers can easily check in their luggage equipped with an electronic tag with the new technology. A data platform controls the check-ins and makes the work of airlines, airports and baggage handlers easier as well as ensuring greater speed.
Pioneer in baggage mobility
The sale of the RIMOWA brand to Louis Vuitton and Corona brought the new technology to an end. To date, there has been no new system of this kind to establish itself. RIMOWA Electronic Tag thus retains the role of the pioneer who developed a new technological answer for the travel of the future early on and has already tested it convincingly.
It was great for us to help build up the new brand RIMOWA Electronic Tag in terms of communication and to make it known as a new standard for a new kind of ease of travel. It is always exciting to be there when something new happens that changes the way we live. As the lead agency, we have been able to design the brand and communication completely from one source – from the brand strategy and branding to the showroom concept and the design of the app as well as the website.
