It was around one and a half centuries ago that the mechanical pedal drivetrain was invented for the bicycle, and it hasn’t improved much in the meantime. Now Möve Bikes from Thuringia have developed Cyfly – a mechanical bicycle drivetrain which makes it easier to pedal and ride faster. We are giving the innovation the propulsion it needs for its debut as a new product brand at the world’s biggest bicycle fair, Eurobike, in summer 2016. Alongside this, we are helping with the reanimation of the Möve brand, which disappeared during the period of the German Democratic Republic.

Brand Strategy

As cities grow, so do the sales figures for bikes. A strength-saving drivetrain – with no plug-in required – could inspire cyclists around the globe. Against the background of this vision, we are holding workshops with Möve Bikes to position the new Cyfly drivetrain as an international product brand in a new product category.

Brand Design

Möve engineers have tinkered with Cyfly for three years and continually improved their innovative cycle drivetrain both visually and functionally. In the brand design we have translated this German engineering into a technical-futuristic word mark, from which we have derived the entire system of graphics.
