Munken World ID

The new Munken campaign ‘World ID’ is a visual and tactile journey around the world. Inspired by the Golden Record from the Voyager missions, it explores what defines our planet and what connects us as humanity.

Aus einer geöffneten Papier-Box fliegen verschiedene Printprodukte nach oben raus – wie eine Rakete.

Designed as a beautifully crafted box set, ‘World ID’ invites you on a five-part journey – each stage brought to life on a different paper from the Munken Design Range. Inside you’ll find:

Earth Card – A card printed on Munken Kristall Rough 1200 g/m² presents the world from a new perspective. It features the AuthaGraph projection, developed in 1999 by Japanese architect Hajime Narukawa. Unlike traditional map projections, it preserves the proportions of continents and oceans as accurately as possible.

Curiosity Cards – Four extracts from The Native Picture, a work by the artist collective robotlab. Based on image data from NASA’s Curiosity rover, a robotic arm created a monumental drawing on canvas using 144 individual images – exhibited in art institutions worldwide. The Native Picture reflects on humanity’s dream of leaving Earth, while also addressing our impact on nature. Printed on Munken Kristall, Munken Polar Rough, Munken Lynx and Munken Pure Rough at 300 g/m².

World ID Brochure – A fresh look at our world, told through carefully selected facts and striking infographics. A special folding technique and an unconventional trim – cut at the bottom and one side – give the piece its distinctive character. Printed on two premium uncoated papers, Munken Polar 100 g/m² and Munken Pure 100 g/m², using two Pantone spot colours: neon pink and neon green.

Vier Karten liegen übereinander. Auf der obersten steht ein Text, die drei unteren zeigen eine Zeichnung der Mars-Oberfläche.

Inventory of Love – A lovingly produced leporello highlighting the world’s spoken and endangered languages. Of almost 7,000 existing languages, around 2,500 are considered endangered – many of which could disappear by 2100. A powerful infographic and a multilingual glossary of the word love offer a poetic reflection on the beauty and fragility of human culture. Printed on Munken Lynx Rough 150 g/m².
